One year and eight months. 

That's how long it's been since Revolut, Europe's most valuable startup, [launched its challenge](https://www.fintechinsights.io/blog/nubank-vs-revolut-who-will-come-out-on-top-in-brazil) to Nubank's dominance in Brazil. 

A lot has happened in the world of fintech since then. A [big financial reset](https://www.lloydsbankinggroup.com/insights/fintech-trends-2024.html). New [technologies](https://www.thebanker.com/content/84fe8ff5-dcde-544a-956d-1c0fa81c610c). New [trends](https://fintechmagazine.com/articles/top-10-fintech-trends-in-2024). But the development that has captured our imagination most is a bit of news you might have missed: Nubank is considering [moving its domicile to the UK](https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/nubank-nu-considers-legal-domicile-shift-trump-policies-favor-fintech). 

Of course, the key word here is "considering." There's no guarantee this will actually happen. Or that Nubank would subsequently open its virtual doors to British and European consumers. 

But the possibility got us thinking. Could Nubank successfully take on Revolut on its home turf? And how would that change the European digital banking landscape?
